Helping your children become smarter, better and happier learners.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Help your children succeed in learning and they’ll succeed in life.

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher, therapist, or other significant caregiver, we’ve created this project for you and the children you care for. Our goal is to help children understand how people learn, enabling all of you to view learning and studying in a whole new way. Many of the concerns related to a child’s academic results, cognitive skills, and wellbeing in school will fade away once complex brain processes are better understood and managed.

When we talk with parents, they ask the same questions no matter the geographical area or income: How do I make sure my child thrives in school? How do I help him overcome learning-related frustrations? How do we handle those tense moments before tests? What should I do when learning is boring for her?

From the moment a child starts school and their teacher assigns homework, parents and children alike are expected to suddenly know how to learn. Sometimes, we know intuitively how to help our child learn. Other times, we help them the way we were taught twenty or thirty years ago. However, most of the time, we just don’t know the best way to approach a learning-related task or problem.

What and how children learn plays a central role in shaping their future, and parental involvement in education has a positive impact on children’s academic achievement and success in life. In fact, studies have found that the influence of the home environment on children’s success in learning includes higher achievement rates, better attendance and increased school completion. We are aware that parenting is one of the most important and challenging roles adults undertake.

Allow us to support you in your quest to help your children succeed in learning.

PARENTS

Every child deserves to enjoy learning.

All children face barriers. When we remove learning barriers and give every child a chance to succeed, we help make everyone’s lives better. If we help children gain knowledge and skills, we give them the confidence to pursue their goals in life and help them create a better life for their own families, as well as contribute to better communities for all of us.

There are ways to remove barriers to learning and the first one is to show them how they can enjoy it by understanding how people learn.
